All4 Big Screen App

Leading a small team of designers, and with input from a very engaged group of stakeholders, I re-designed the All4 streaming App across consoles, Smart TVs and streaming devices.

The re-designed App featured consistent UXD across all TV platforms, improved usability and performance, introduced personalisation, editorial collections and a totally new look & feel aligned with Channel 4’s unique and irreverent brand personality.

The result was a significant increase in number of users, time spent in the App and brand recognition. Additionally, I successfully championed new, collaborative ways of working, shaping the product strategy and team culture.

Following the success of the re-designed TV App, I helped develop a consistent UXD across TV, web and mobile apps.

Significant growth on “big screen” devices was a key driver for Channel 4’s digital expansion

2017 Key stats:

  • View up +35% year-on-year

  • 16% increase in total programme views across 2017 financial year

  • The +35% growth on big screen outperformed +33% on mobile/tablets

  • Reached 15 million registered users, including over half of all 16-34 year olds in the UK
